I'm blogging once again, to thank everyone especially Europuppy for their support. It's been busy and a touch and go time; I have spent about a month unable to move far and do anything, which the little boy child took full advantage of... I wonder if he will ever learn that food interests me, cars don't. Also he needs to learn that my tongue should be in my mouth not his fingers.
Now to let you know my two months worth of trial and tribulations, I had a very bad start to the year and a vet who is perhaps more suited to spaying cats or checking the weight of Falcons. With a change of Vet; I have now got my vaccinations renewed and my passport makes me ready to travel (which mummy says may happen this year although this is to be confirmed - I still love the big garden I have now!)
It appears that something had peirced through my tendon (possibly wire, though evidence of what it was is not around to prove anything), and the weight loss was due to my body fighting infection. I ended up with antibiotics and steroids, and am now sad to announce that I overheard mummy and daddy discussing if they should reduce my meals slightly soon... something about stabilising my weight gain.... I hope this won't happen as I live for meal times and big meals at that!
So what else has happened; I do have a tumour/growth on my leg, it is small and external and will be removed then tested now I am fit and well, but this has not caused too much concern to my new vet who speaks English and is a nice lady. I'll update on this and let everyone know as I go through it. Again Daddy is still very worried about me, but he's recently had an operation so he had a few days where I had to try and be careful around him.
Problems in my life - This big white dog (which Daddy refers to as a horse) won't play with me no matter how I try.. and today it got bad tempered at me... but I am still faster then it!
Solutions I have found - The boy child likes my tongue, but backs off if I lick his head before he grabs my tounge! Plan worked ;)
Future Plans - The Lodger is worried I will ruin his suit, so brings a treat out in the morning to make me run away from him; If I am fast enough and can get back to him before he leaves the gate; Maybe I will get two treats!!
Good Points - Mummy and Daddy look happy to see me now they don't cry as much which is a lot nicer for me.
Rude Awakenings - Apparently the gate was open one night... Mummy and Daddy rushed out to close it, I wish they were a bit more considerate.. the two of them sounded paniced as they screamed my name... they scared me half to death when they almost trod on me and woke me up with the commotion it was such a rude awakening! Then they chuckled at me saying something like "He'll never make a guard dog"
I'll make mummy and daddy post some picture at the weekend so you can all see the change in me!
PS Daddy threatened to bath me again tomorrow.... and something about flea drops... that can't be good... where can a giant dog hide.... hmmm ... maybe in the big white dog's outside house (?)

Christmas time has been busy with so many guests, which I enjoyed, the cuddles where great!
Daddy kept saying I was losing weight, which was nice because I got more food (imagine 4 meals a day not 3), my idea of heaven.
At christmas time Daddy was worried, I wasn't too keen to get up or go very far. He thought it was wrong, because I had not raced the horse around the garden and just wanted to go back to bed.
So the horrible man took me to the vet, We met 6 Falcons, amazing birds, they had even tied them up at mouth hieght, but I just wanted to hang close to daddy and didn't take much notice. Yeah I know, I'm a hunting dog, who is perfectly capable of catching pigeons (I'm better then the cat at that!). I'm the reason that mummy and daddy cannot keep any chickens here ;)
Well this man, puts a horrible muzzle on (As if I'd bite, how rude, Off course I don't bite, You can maul me all you want and safetly) He sticks injections in me, keeps me away from Daddy and does nasty things, I did not appreciate it.
So I went into this clinic slightly limping, and hanging out near daddy, for what was at first regarded as a tendon injury, he says I may have pulled it or slipped.
This led to a strange man checking me over and doing tests, which say I have a tumour in my bone, on my right hind leg. Daddy was very upset when we drove home, then mummy was upset. They say we have to go back and talk to them, and the next visit is free, to find out what course of action can be taken.
The vet has given me pain killers, which mean I can run around for short spells, but that strange man who stuck needles in me said I can't go out running too much because of my tendon.

I'm excited 40 people to meet... wow could I get around them all, how fast will I get to them, children and meat and food, paddling pools, and cuddles and games...and...
But Mummy is worried, she thinks I will be too excited, or flatten a few people.
We all Know I wouldn't flatten anyone... afterall they should stand on their own two feet; it's not my fault if they fall over, I only wag my tail or bounce around them.
I'll update everyone with pictures after the party!

On my new turf with the boy! He won't share the paddling pool with me!
This is my favourite spot in the garden...
Must say the weather is getting hotter these days so I am spending the middle of the day asleep on my new bed and I come out with the baby at about 4pm then wait for Mum and Dad to get home and spoil us.
At the bottom of the bed (Do they really expect me to stay here when there's pillows and duvets on the bed?
I had a few 'accidents' when we first moved house and my routine changed a bit, but I am starting to get used to the changes in weather and therefore changes to my schedule and haven't made a mess in the house for a few days now, which Mummy is really pleased about.
Mummy's notes;
Beware where you perch... Do not balance on a wall especially when the dog finds you, it can and will knock you off just by saying hello!
Grooming notes.... Do not strandle the dog to brush his beard, the dog can straighten up and sweep you off your feet!
Seating arrangements ... Allow the dog adequate room on the sofa, if you don't he will sit on you too!
Cooking ... Remember to be careful when cooking the dog can reach into the hot pans on the stove just by walking up to it.
Whipping time... Beware of the tail, the very least that will happen is a whipping to your legs, at worst it will knock you flying.
Avoid Human bowling.... Remember wolfhounds do not stop quickly on marble, a side step must be perfected and timed right!
Bed time... A wolfhound and a baby will take up a whole king size bed, learn to love the rugs!
Patience... A wolfhound can and will wait forever for you to turn your back on that steak which you just cooked.
Gardens... Wolfhounds will dig and if a tree or plant comes out of the ground in the process this means more fun.
Selective hearing... A wolfhound is deaf when it wants to be, but will never fail to hear the word dinner.
Parenting... Finally a wolfhound is the only dog which sits patiently waiting for the child to get up and stop using it as a pillow or stands quietly when being hugged by the baby.

I have now moved to half an acre of grounds; when Mummy and Daddy moved they bought me a new bed, a real bed too! I grew to big for the doggy beds!
I am a daddy's boy, Mummy is good and feeds me and brushes me; but I like to try and stay in Daddy's shadow. But I hope Daddy doesn't expect dates from his palm trees this year; they tasted too good and with all the hard work getting through those spikey leaves I deserved the ones I could get.
The baby still has an obsession with my tongue! I am not keen on this; but it is fun to play ball with him and get a cuddle.
The baby also ate the camera so pictures will be delayed! We'll get around to that shortly.

Yesterday Evening I went to the Stables.
Daddy took me for a walk, and everyone fell in love with me; a Vets Assistant said that I need to take it easy on my legs whilst I grow up... she said that Irish Wolfhounds where one of the dogs they would often see coming into surgery with joint problems; and also noted how I was a "
perfect example" of an Irish Wolfhound.
They said I was a Pony not a Puppy but gave me lots of love, which I like.
Everyone Laughed when Daddy picked me up to get me out of and then put me in the Car!
These Huge Doggy's with Hooves make odd noises and I'm still not sure they can be trusted, but If I watch them I'll have time to decide what they are really like....
Mummy is going to take me to the vet as the insects have started to bite me and we need to fix it. They bought me some stinky shampoo with Aloe and repelant but it's best to have this checked out.

Yesterday Daddy went to the Airport and collected my registration documents.
... it looks very pretty and official, but Mummy and Daddy won't let me or Konnor eat it!
I almost got away with the envelope.

Unfortunately I am not impressed, Mummy's sister arrived the same day as the dog show, so I missed the show on Saturday.
I was taken for a walk through the Equestrian Centre
After I was good and did some lead training I was allowed to run around...
It was good fun, Konnor and I found lots of interesting things....
When it was time to go home, I had to hurry so they wouldn't forget me!
Then when I got home they washed me ..... Can you imagine standing up on these floors when your wet!
So I gave up.... we went back to the sitting room, where I got dried and brushed.. but Mum and Dad keep telling me that it's impossible to make me look tidy.
