Dog Lamp: This lamp is the pinnacle in animal-shaped, touch-based lighting technology. Behold, the Man’s Best Friend Light! This bad boy has four legs, features a light bulb, and the ability to be turned on and off by tapping it on the head. It also, apparently, dims when you run your hand from one side of the sensor to the other. If you can save up $150, you can have a dog-shaped lamp companion in your house, while singing to the tune of Eifel 65's "Blue" ( dabadidada... )

Dog Lamp # 1: This Pug with Velvet bag Lamp is the most hideous piece of home decor I have ever stumbled across. Naturally, I was confused by it - and the product description didn’t offer much help. The pug piece has a touch of the macabre as well, with human hands (with painted nails) and humorous touches, including a lamp sprouting from its head and a matching velvet pillow for the velvet bag. why the bag? It allows the pug to bark when touched. This one-off piece from artist Dietlind Preiss costs a knee-buckling $4595 and I am sure, it will keep many amused and even more happy that they needn't buy it!

Dog Lamp # 2: This pair of 1950s French dog lamps are made from whimsical black and white enameled metal. Their forms have cutout eyes, which are unmarked and nicely refinished. Both are 14” long x 6.5” h.

Dog Lamp # 1: Well....this lamp is called: "Goebel Red Dog Perfume Lamp with Glass Eyes". It is made of translucent porcelain. Both the dog and his eyes have a warm, magical glow when the light is turned on. ( no sarcasm intended of course!) He has a circle of holes in the top of his head for the heat of the bulb to escape so that he won't crack. There is a small reservoir on the back of his neck where perfume was placed. The heat of the lamp warmed the perfume and gently spread the desired fragrance into the air. Perfume lamps were popular in the 1920's and 1930's and came in many shapes and sizes... a forerunner of the air freshener, but infinitely more romantic! The cord has an old style, blimp shaped, in-line bakelite switch. He is a little treasure that could (possibly) be the perfect highlight in a romantic or exotic boudoir!

Dog Lamp # 1: On paper, the idea of a little desktop doggie lamp might be cute, but somewhere along the line it just all went so horribly awry. From its demonic red eyeballs to its disturbing nostril hole charger, it’s just a bit out there. There is a bizarre umbrella lighting fixture that’s been implanted into the canine’s brain and if shoving a charger into the dog's nose holes isn’t bad enough, you can also juice up the battery by plugging his ass into a wall socket. If the ASPCA would start taking complaints about inanimate objects, now would be as good a time as ever. It comes in white or yellow colors.

Dog Lamp # 2: This lamp is made of marble Borzoi dog figurines. The idea behind it was to incorporate antique and vintage elements that can make this lamp look ideal in even modern settings.
