• "Bluey" was the name of the Australian cattle dog that was formerly owned by Les Hall of Rochester, Victoria, Australia. Bluey holds the Guinness world record for the dog with the longest recorded lifespan in history, having achieved the age of twenty-nine years, five months and seven days. He was finally put to sleep due to old age. He was born on June 7, 1910 and died on November 14, 1939.

Dear David,

Thank you for leaving your comment on our Blog. Euro Puppy always welcomes
comments and queries.

As to your question, the only information we have at hand is that the third
oldest Schnauzer and the oldest Schnauzer to win a Master Agility
Competition was called: Mach Britmor Betwitched. Age: 12 years, 7 months, 11
days.

Other interesting facts on winner Schnauzers can be seen here. I hope it
helps.

Do you know the world record lifespan of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? The girl we had passed away at 19 yrs old! Her son died of old age 3 yrs earlier.

Our Miniature Schnauzer, Scottie, just passed away on June 5, 2008. He was 15 years and 7 months old. He was very active and in great health up to about a year ago when he began to suffer with kidney & heart troubles. Our holistic vet put him on supplements and helped to extend his precious life for another year!

We have a Miniature Schnauzer named Dutchess. She will be 18 years old in November of 2008. Our vet tells us he has never seen a shnauzer that old. However he did say he is not surprised as they do live long lives in general. At any rate she is our miracle dog and we love her dearly! God bless you Dutch!
